The bcode concept involves the ability to send alphanumeric SMS to mobile phones and recognised by certain scanners in a similar way to a barcode system. Its practical applications may include mobile promotions, event ticketing, cinemas and certain mobile operators to approximately 97% of mobile phones currently in use across the world.

The liquidator will sell, transfer and assign to the successful bidder all intellectual property rights, assets, claims, and causes of action that Bcode has or may have, including:

• Intellectual property – including patents and trademarks
• Physical assets
• Any claims and contingent assets

Prior to being placed in liquidation, Bcode was a privately owned company involved since 2004 in the development and commercial use of intellectual property relating to mobile commerce systems based on a SMS alphanumeric coding system known as “bcode”.
